Shameless Commerce

I’m happy to write about how you can help yourself to get found on the Internet. I do it to help others – it gives me joy to do that, and it’s a way I can say thank you to everyone who has helped me.

On this page, I’m providing links to sites and services I endorse. If you click on them from my website and purchase something, I get a commission. That’s how you can thank me for sharing my knowledge with you. And I hope Click and Clack don’t mind that I borrowed the title for this section from them. Oy vey, I can see the “cease and desist” order coming any day now…

LinkedInForJobSeekers

My very first entry is the one that will give me the greatest pleasure to include. Along my personal branding trip, I somehow managed to meet Jason Alba, who invented the great job support site JibberJobber.com. He took some time out to write “I’m on LinkedIn. Now What???” – and you ought to read that if you haven’t already.

JibberJobber uses a “fremium” model – the basic service is free, but you can get more features if you’re willing to pay a monthly fee. Jason also has some DVDs you can buy, including “LinkedIn for Job Seekers.” I get a commission if you buy the DVD from the link just above. The link just below is to the JibberJobber site.

Inmotionhosting.com is the hosting service I use for my consulting clients. They’ve gotten some pretty good reviews. I found them on a site that reviews hosting companies. After reading scores of user reviews, I decided to use them – although not yet for my own site, which is paid up for several more months. One of their chief attributes is customer service, which is fast and domestic.

If you’re looking for a hosting service, why not try Inmotion? If you do it by clicking on the banner ad that follows, I’ll get a commission.
